The patient's upper front four teeth (all upper incisors) were lost after several injuries sustained during his career as a hockey player (played 17 seasons in the NHL as a Center for the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, Vegas Golden Knights, and Carolina Hurricanes.). Dr. Thacker replaced the missing teeth with a four unit implant bridge made with Lithium Disilicate Ceramic and custom Titanium Abutment.

She has always been self-conscious about it and has had to wear an uncomfortable removable appliance (flipper) her entire adult life. This case involves an Upper Complete Denture and Lower Complete Implant-Retained Denture (aka Snap-On Denture) utilizing two computer guided implants placed on the lower jaw stabilize the denture.
The patient came in less than a year after having poorly fitted and poor looking dentures made at another clinic. She was embarrassed to smile and talk because of how bulky, uncomfortable, and unaesthetic her old dentures were. She did not like how the lower dentures moved around when she ate and opted for two implants to help retain them. We placed the implant using computer guidance so the surgery was only fifteen minutes and minimally invasive. The patient had no pain after.
