A missing tooth can affect more than the way your smile looks. It may change how you chew, how clearly you speak, and how comfortable you feel in social situations. If you are dealing with several missing teeth or a denture that shifts, those concerns can become part of your daily routine. Dental implants offer a stable way to rebuild what has been lost.
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone where a natural tooth root once was. After the area heals, a custom crown, bridge, or denture is attached to the implant.
Because the jawbone supports the implant, the finished restoration feels more secure when you eat, speak, and smile. It can replace one tooth, several teeth, or help hold a denture firmly in place.
Every implant case begins with a full evaluation. At Exceptional Dentistry, that may include advanced imaging, 3D scanning, a review of your bite, and a close look at the health of your gums and jawbone.
At Exceptional Dentistry, we have experience with both the surgical and restorative sides of implant treatment. That allows each phase to be planned with the final result in mind, from the placement of the implant to the shape and fit of the finished tooth.
The patient was born without her two upper lateral incisors. Two implants and implant crowns were placed to replace both upper lateral incisors after orthodontic treatment/braces. She has always been self-conscious about it and has had to wear an uncomfortable removable appliance (flipper) her entire adult life. She was thrilled when we delivered the final crowns and was crying (out of happiness) at the delivery appointment.
